Tasha Ackerman, owner of MILE HIGH ESTATE LIQUIDATION speaks with Denver Metro Review:

Denver Metro Review: How did you get into this business?

Tasha: I kind of stumbled upon it. After our Mom unexpectedly passed away, we were left with a lifetime of her possessions. Getting everyone together for a series of garage sales was just too hard at that time so we hired a national company to liquidate her remaining items. It was awful. Just when we needed a kind, compassionate hand during our loss, we were met with, well…. not that. At all. I knew I could do better for people going through a difficult time.

DMR: Starting a business is a tough thing to do! What inspired you to keep going as you were getting it off the ground?

Tasha: It was a struggle for sure. I had never done anything like this before. The people I was helping was the biggest inspiration of all. I have met some amazing folks and it has been an honor to help them.

DMR: Has the internet played a big part in your business?

Tasha: It has for sure, but what has worked best has definitely been from word of mouth. Satisfied customers telling their friends and family about and that is the best feeling. It let’s me know we have done a great job and have taken care of people the way they should be.

DMR: Where do you see your business in 2020?

Tasha: I don’t like to get ahead of things, so I tend to take things one day and one client at a time. This way, I make sure I do a good job for the folks that hire me. I think this year will be really good.

DMR: Where do you see your business in the next 3-5 years?
Tasha:
Still providing great customer service and growing.  Taking things one step at a time.

DMR: When you look back what was the most difficult challenge you faced?
Tasha:
Taking that first leap.It was scary, but was the best decision I ever made.

DMR: What do you enjoy the most about the Denver area and it’s surrounding communities your business takes care of?
Tasha: This is a great place to live and the people are great. I’ve raised my kids here and made wonderful friends over the years. I never get tired of all the recreational activities there are living here.

DMR: If a potential client has to pick from 3 different businesses providing your services, what makes your company really stand out, and them picking you over the others?
Tasha: Personalized customer service!  We know what you are going through and know how to compassionately guide you to your best outcome. This means you get to relax knowing we will take care of things and you get a check at the end of our services.

Whether someone is downsizing, moving or dealing with grandma’s house full of old furniture and knick- knacks – we will handle your sale quickly and efficiently so you can get your money and move on with your plans.
